Kundalini yoga uses asanas (postures), movement, breath, and meditation to relax and heal your mind and body, giving you a greater awareness of mind, body, and spirit. By stimulating the nervous and immune systems, this type of yoga improves strength, flexibility and may provide relief from problems such as back pain, stress and insomnia. Kundalini yoga brings a greater feeling of well-being, happiness and is a great way to recharge and heal the body quickly.

A Kundalini Yoga class consists of (1) a warm-up, (2) the main Kriya or set of Kriyas (a series of postures with specific breathing techniques, repetitive body movements (and stillness) and sometimes, chanted or sung sounds), (3) period of Meditation, and (4) a period of relaxation.  Each class is quite different from other classes because the available Kriyas number in the thousands.

Sat Nam (a Kundalini mantra meaning “truth is my identity”)
