Myofascial Release

February 4, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Fascia is continuous, interconnected tissue that spans the body from head to toe. It both separates and unites our muscles and is essential to healthy movement. Daily wear and tear, injury, or stress can create kinks in this highly adaptable system, leading to knots, discomfort, limited range of motion, and even loss of strength. Myofascial Release is any technique used to manipulate fascia and muscles in order to maintain strength, ease, and optimal health. We will work together with tennis balls to systematically explore our fascia and muscular systems in order to release kinks, increase circulation and hydration to the tissues. When we educate and explore how our bodies work, we are empowered to take greater control of our health and wellness!

Tiffany’s classes are inspired by her teachers, her students, her practice, and the natural movement of the people and world around her. She views yoga as an artistic discipline which gives us the opportunity to explore and experience our full potential and to find enjoyment in the simplicity of our day to day lives.

Tiffany our guide (a.k.a. Buddha Cat) has dedicated over 1,000 hour to the study and practice of yoga and has knowledgable experience in Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Restorative Yoga, along with meditation, pranayama, and philosophy. In addition to her yoga studies, Tiffany is a Certified Massage Therapist and a former dancer of ten years. Her passion for health and functionality of mind and body led her enroll in the Yoga Medicine program with Tiffany Cruikshank, where she is learning how to apply therapeutic yoga to her teachings in group and private settings. Her passion to learn is an extension of her passion to educate others so that they can find wellness and peace.
