An Invitation for your to explore and restore your most essential yin ”root of life energy” in a coupled practice of yoga and acupuncture. In this transformational workshop we will focus on the cyclic change of the Elemental Energy of Water which is represented by the season of winter and the Kidney and Bladder meridians in Oriental Medicine. As in nature, this is the season of deep stillness, conservation and rest. It is a time to concentrate our energies in preparation for the creative energies of spring. We will focus on and open energetic pathways in the body that relate to this element through yogic asanas and acupoints that will nurture you in your journey to wellness. Come join us for this extraordinary workshop.
Yoga & OM, a seasonal experience, was created by Turi Nevin-Turkel, ERYT & Dr. Virginia Hisghman, PhD., LAc. This workshop combines the wisdom and techniques of Traditional {O}riental {M}edicine & Yoga. Join Turi & Virginia to explore of how we best can utilize these wisdom traditions to find balance & overall well-being on a seasonal basis. A yin yoga practice will be shared to cultivate a deeper connection with the body, mind & soul. Practice will conclude with an extended savasana incorporating a full seasonal harmonizing acupuncture treatment and a guided meditation.
